Pointwest, one of the country’s largest IT-BPM firms, will be attending the Healthcare Information Management Conference on 15, Sept 2016 at Makati Shangrila, in Makati City. The said event is a gathering headed by the Healthcare Information Management Associations of the Philippines (HIMAP).
HIMAP is a non-stock, non-profit industry organization recognized by the Philippine government and BPO industry which goal is to promote the Philippines as the destination of choice for quality Healthcare Information Management outsourcing services.
With the theme “Global Convergence Enabling Inclusive Care and Innovation”, Pointwesters will join with experts from the BPM and healthcare professionals in the country.
The conference will discuss stakeholder roles in healthcare and how some trends disrupt the growth and innovation in healthcare industry.
Pointwest, together with other BPO-healthcare professionals, joined the same conference last year where they listened in round-table talks about business, information technology and healthcare development. The main discussion went on the possibility to prepare for the Philippines becoming Asia’s hub for healthcare BPO.
Recently, Pointwest President and newly-elected HIMAP President Beng Coronel also paid a courtesy call to Consul General Mario De Leon, Jr., at the Philippine Consulate in New York City and discussed the advantage of the Philippines as a “one-stop destination” for IT-BPM.
“Collaboration is the key, that rather than compete with the other members of ASEAN, the Philippines could instead take a leadership in the region since it’s a pioneer of business process outsourcing.” Ms. Coronel said.
Consul General Mario De Leon shared initiatives of his office with HIMAP and Pointwest President Beng Coronel to promote Philippine BPO industry in North America.
Meanwhile, Pointwest is in the midst of preparing and selecting Pointwesters to take part of the annual event.
