Gazing down on the nearby lake that gives a cool breeze hovering over towards the luscious green and carpet-like grass of open garden, everyone asks.. who will be this year’s best Market Circle?
Pointwest held its company outing and sports fest at the Greenery Resort, Sabang, Baliwag Bulacan last Friday, 2016 June 24 with the theme “Pointwest Revelry in the Greenery; Propelling to Digital”. This event is part of the company’s work-life harmonization organized by Human Capital Management. The said event is a combined outing for BPO and ITO that have not joined together for the past years.
As a leading IT-BPM Industry with high-pressure tech environment, Beng Coronel, Pointwest President, said that it is very important to take a break, breathe and have fun.
“We have so many “firsts” today. First to merge BPO and ITO in one event after few years. First for the [US leadership team] to attend summer outing with us. First to hold company outing in [resort tucked] in Bulacan and first to include sports activity ”, she enumerated.
She also stressed out that this event will produce some creative solutions and collaboration that ends up back in the office.
The Sportsfest:
Pointwest opened the sports fest during the company outing to strengthen teamwork and promotes values for its employees. Highlights of the said activity were the Cheerleading competition, Pointwest Health Bods and Pinoy Olympics.
Banking, Retail and Utilities, Media and Public Sector (BR&UMP) one of Pointwest’s business units (Market Circle), hailed as the overall champion of this year’s Sportsfest.
Perhaps, more than just competition is a friendship honed and created by this event from different functional areas of the company. Pointwesters were able to socialize and share ideas and goals.
